Why Most Inventions Failāand How You Can Avoid Costly Mistakes
Every year, thousands of inventors bring their ideas to life, but only a small fraction successfully commercialize them. The difference between success and failure often comes down to whetherĀ inventors conductĀ Early-Stage Due-Diligence.Ā Those who don't often make one or more of the following costly mistakes:
1ļøā£ Patenting too early ā Before testing or validating need for the invention.
2ļøā£ Investing in product development too soon ā Without confirming demand.
3ļøā£ Not getting expert guidance ā Leading to wasted money, time, and opportunities.
Ā
Avoid These CostlyPitfalls and Take the Smarter PathĀ
Ā
With over 25 years in technology commercialization and business development experience, Iāve evaluatedĀ and advised on overĀ 950 inventions for NASA, the U.S. Army, FDA,Ā leading universities, small businesses and individual inventors. Iāve also successfully commercialized 2 of my own patented inventions and had a third invention commercialized by the bioscience company I worked for when I made the invention.Ā Ā Iāve just about seen it all in the world of inventing. When inventors donāt know what to do next, they call me.

Eric's Passion for Mentoring Inventors
Purpose and why I mentor inventors

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā
Purpose & Why I Mentor Inventors
I started where many inventors find themselves todayāalone, uncertain, and unsure of the next step. Ā In fact, when I started my journey as an inventor, I knew about inventions but nothing about patents or how to obtain one.
My early journey was filled with trial and error, costly mistakes, and valuable lessons that eventually led to four patented inventions and successful commercialization of three of the four.Ā Two of them I commercialized myself.Ā
Over the past 25+ years, Iāve evaluated more than 950 inventions from NASA, DoD, the FDA, universities, and the private sector. Iāve seen what worksāand what doesnāt. That experience shaped my mission: to provide the expert guidance I once needed, helping inventors avoid common pitfalls and turn ideas into income.
I mentor inventors because Iāve been in your shoes. I know the whole journey andĀ struggleāand the potential and the success that can be achieved if the right next steps are taken.
